Spring frost - 2017
A few days before "the ice saints" (on 11, 12 and 13 May) the vineyard was hit hard by a spring frost. Mother Nature's whims dashed hopes for the harvest. There will be no 2017 vintage.

Exceptional climatic conditions have allowed these two emblematic grape varieties of our appellation to express themselves with refined elegance. Maturing for 8 months in barrels allowed the aromas of red fruits and undergrowth to acquire their maturity.

An elitist vintage by the choice of grapes and plots, vinified and maturated according to the lunar cycles, a six-month period in barrels, refines this generous wine from clay-limestone terroir. Decant it 20 minutes before serving.

Solar vintage which develops an incredible intensity. Generous on the palate we find the delicacy of red fruits (cherries) full of sunshine. The fruity note finishes with undergrowth discreet aromas brought by the Cabernet Sauvignon.

The harvest of the plots most exposed to the climatic benefits and then a maturing in harmony with the lunar cycles gives it complex red fruit flavours. The dominant Cabernet Sauvignon brings a final note of undergrowth.
Spotted by Jean-Marc Quarin in his Carnet n°83 - "Dark, intense, lively and beautiful colour. Medium aromatic, fruity and resinous nose. Mellow and rather full on the palate, with taste, a spicy, woody note ...". 85/100.

This 2014 vintage gives us a nice intensity. This wine has an attractive character with notes of black fruits (black cherries, wild blackberries and blackcurrant). The fruity note finish features discreet notes of forest undergrowth provided by the Cabernet Sauvignon.
Citation in the Guide Hachette 2017 - "One can recognize the fruit, intense and fresh, in a brisk mouthfeel, structured by nice tannins."
